![]() No college last week half term already. I went to Pennard Castle down the Gower about 9pm with my camera and 1 million candle watt spot light. I wanted to try and do some light painting on the castle. Using a tripod for stabilisation, camera in manual mode, shutter 30- 60+ secs F-stop 8 ISO 100 WB auto and cable release if need for bulb. Once I opened the shutter I splashed the light over the castle and highlighted the grass in front of the camera. I found that it was difficult to focus because my camera has a electronic view finder, which is harder to see through in low light conditions. Once i got the shutter speed right about 1 min and under I had some good shots of the castle. I will be trying this again when I have made some coloured gels for the torch to highlight in different colours instead of just the one.
